Our Mission

Close Concerns’ mission is to make researchers, clinicians, companies, foundations, policymakers, and patients and their families smarter about diabetes and obesity, all to the end of improving patient outcomes.

We do this by creating and synthesizing news and insights on therapies and technologies related to these conditions. Our information service, Closer Look, keeps those working in and around diabetes abreast of scientific breakthroughs and market dynamics.

We study new research relentlessly and interview dozens of clinicians and thought leaders annually. We are advocates for better education, access to innovative therapies, and healthcare systems that encourage providers to give personal care to everyone who has diabetes or prediabetes. Through our Associate Program, we develop future leaders in medicine and research.
